We have been on a journey through the life of an emotional Prophet named Jonah...

Let me catch you up if you are new to the room...

Chapter 1. Jonah ran but God ran after him

Jonah was called by God to Go to Ninevah to share the love of God with them and call them to repentance.

The problem is, that Jonah hated the Ninevites for what they had done.

Assyrian people who were cruel and did cruel things.

SO Jonah ran and ended up in a storm, and then...

God PROVIDED a FISH.

Chapter 2. Jonah repented and accepted where God had him

We find the prayer of Jonah in the belly of the fish...

All distractions were gone.

He had 3 days to think and reflect...

It is amazing what happens to our emotional health when we get ourselves out of our world and free up our minds to really hear from the Lord and receive what the Lord is doing...

That led to...

Chapter 3: God used one man's obedience to reach a whole people group in one day!

Jonah obeys the Lord... Preaches a grumpy message and in one day we see a nation turn to the one true God!

Revival

NOW...

You would think Jonah would be saying... Thank you GOD for what you just did.

God I am sorry for my bad attitude

God I am sorry I doubted you

God forgive me.

But oh no.... Jonah stepped back into his old ways with this same old attitude.

Is it not amazing how we can have such emotional swings...

Like we never move from being 4 years old.

One moment we are so happy b/c we have what we want.

Then MOM takes it away and we have the meltdown of meltdowns in the Target aisle simply because MOM took something away.

Then that kid finally realizes this is getting them nowhere and it really is not that big of a deal and starts to run around again happy.

That is Jonah Chapter 4
