Now, in 1988, it was early spring of 1988, I had been interviewing with Nalco Chemical Company, and I was at the last leg of the interview. They flew me from Houston, Texas to, Chicago. Illinois. Actually, Nalco was there in Naperville, Illinois. And so, I had my big executive interview. I was nervous. There was a lot riding on this interview, and I really wanted to get this job. I remember getting on the airplane. I sat down, and I think I was in the middle seat, and the guy over to my right, he and I began to strike up a conversation. You know, I think it was like a 2 ½ hour flight from Houston to Chicago. He was a friendly guy, and we were really getting along great. I got to talk to this guy about Jesus. And so, I started to move the conversation into a spiritual conversation, "Hey, can I ask you something that's very important? You know, have you come to the place in your spiritual life where you know for certain that if you were to die, you'd go to heaven?" He said, "I don't want to talk about that," and he kind of laughed, and I kind of laughed. I said, "Well, really, no. What do you think? Let's talk about that." He goes, "No, I don't want to talk about that." And I said, "Well..." He's still kind of, you know, nice and friendly. And I said, "Well, why can't we talk about that? Let's talk about that." He said, "Listen! I don't want to talk to you about that." I said, "Okay," and we didn't talk for the rest of the flight. For about two hours, I sat next to this guy, who was my pal for the first ten or fifteen minutes, and he would not speak to me again.
