2 Samuel 9 - Story of GREAT GRACE

- Greatest King is history of Israel - 33 years

Biography of Mephibosheth:

1) A CORRUPT FAMILY

(1) "house of Saul"

NO OTHER King BEGAN so RIGHT/ENDED so WRONG

Mephibosheth - Grandson of King Saul

ALL of us are born into a Corrupt Family. We are BORN as CHILDREN OF ADAM. Must be BORN AGAIN to be CHILDREN OF GOD.

2) A CRIPPLING FALL

(3) "lame on his feet."

2 Samuel 4 - Nurse dropped him as they fled the city. Crippled rest of his life.

We have Corrupt Family because of a Crippling Fall.

(Romans 5:12) "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."

We're NOT SINNERS because we SIN
We SIN because we're SINNERS

Jesus Didn't Come to Make GOOD people BETTER

He Came to Make LOST people SAVED

3) A CATASTROPHIC FAMINE

(5) "Lodebar" - "No Bread"

We come into the world SEEKING/SEARCHING/STARVING
(BOOZE - BALMS - BROADS - BILLS - BRANDS)

ONLY satisfaction is BREAD of Life - JESUS
