INTRODUCTION: September 11, 2022 marks the 21st anniversary of the terrible tragedy that took place at the World Trade Center in New York; the tragedy at the Pentagon in Washington, DC; and the airplane crash in a field in Pennsylvania, some believe it was on its way to the White House. On September 11, 2001, the world, especially the United States of America took on a new attitude with respects to personal safety and security and outlook on life. Our country established the Department of Homeland Security, that created the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), which inspects each individual and their luggage before boarding an airplane here in America. There have been other tragedies that have taken place since 9/11; Hurricanes Ivan, Katrina, Ida, and Superstorm Sandy; and of course, we can't forget the many needless school shootings in which too many lives, both students and teachers, were taken unnecessarily. Our country has both been through and endured recessions, bankruptcies of banks and financial institutions, car makers and major manufacturers needed to be bailed out, political unrest between the two major political parties in the US continues to this very day, and one of the most tragic occurrences was the storming of the U. S. Capitol in January 2021.

It seems that as much as the world is trying to take God out of the mainstream of our society, to include our schools, courtrooms, our job sites, etc., and not want to recognize His power and sovereignty, but when tragedy strikes, it's amazing how quick people begin to ask for prayers and call upon the name of the Lord. The world is trying to change what God has instituted with respects to how the world is to function.
