INTRODUCTION: Have you ever felt like the pressures of life were weighing you down on a daily basis? Do you feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of the situation and you don't seem to see a way out? Do you ever feel like you are trying to do this all by yourself and there doesn't seem to be any help in sight? I believe we all have or will find ourselves at this point in life and it's come to my attention that the best way to handle it is to recognize that:

1) God allowed it for a reason;

2) you are not alone during this time and season; and,

3) God won't put more on you that you can handle.

When we begin to feel like the pressure is too much for us, we need to take a look at our attitude and just how we perceive the situation to be and take appropriate action as directed in the Word of God.

It's been said that your "attitude determines your altitude" and if that is the case, we can't let our so-called "doom and gloom" situations determine the outcome in our lives.
We are currently living in some tumultuous times - times in which most of us have never seen before.

- The uncertainty of a fluctuating stock market - it continues to bounce up and down;
- The uncertainty of our financial system with rising interest rates - it's costing more to borrow.
- The uncertainty of our homeowner's situations;
- The uncertainty of the job market; and,
- The uncertainty of our local and state governments - they can't seem to balance and manage the money appropriately.

For the Christian, the times we're living in should not come as a surprise. God prophesied that these days would come in 2 Timothy 3:1 which reads, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come."
