Rev 1:19 KJV - Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

John was told to write about three things or events:

1. The things which he had seen (Chapter 1)

2. The things which are (Chapters 2 & 3)

3. The things which shall be hereafter (Chapters 4 - 22)

- "The Sovereign Christ" Chapter 1

- "The Seven Churches" Chapters 2 - 3

- "The Spectacular Conclusion Chapters 4 - 22

Jesus had discussed leaving this earth, but he also promised his disciples that they would also be able to join him at a later time. The apostle Paul came along and he discussed the hereafter often in his writings, telling us how we would be changed, even telling us about how the dead would be raised up and then those that were alive, they would also be raptured.

In this chapter, we finally arrive at the place where the Lord actually comes back for his church and takes them back to heaven. There are many that dispute the rapture, all that I can see is that they are wrong in their assessment, because the bible clearly teaches the rapture of the saints.
