When you hear the word, LOVE... what picture pops into your mind? You know, the interesting thing about that question is ...every single one of us have an idea... and a concept of what love is.

And not only have our brains been trained... to personally define love... we've also been convinced... that there's a certain path to finding it.

- Online dating apps... social media... singles events... pursuing love through self-improvement (joining a gym... working out... losing weight) ... looking for love at church (this should be a pretty good place to find it!)

It doesn't matter who you are, or where you're from, or what you do... We all have this one thing in common-we want to be loved! That applies to young people and old people... rich people and poor people... democrats and republicans... we're all in the same boat.

The world is looking for love. And here's what we're going to see today: Since the beginning of time... the devil has been working hard to convince the world... That love is something other than what God created it to be.. You say, "Why would the devil do that?" Because The devil's job is to distort what God defines... and you know what? God is the designer and definer of LOVE. [1 Jn 4:8] says, "The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love."

Lock in on what that just said... God is love. And the Bible says, if we don't know God... if we haven't been saved by God and changed by God... then we are incapable of demonstrating love. Yes... but we're also unable to experience true love.

But that's not what the world will tell you. You see, our culture has its own definition when it comes to love. [What does our culture say about love?] 8 things...

1. Love is self-centered. Love is all about me... it's about self-gratification. If you love me, you'll serve me. When I think about this perspective, I'm reminded ...
