One of the most misunderstood words in the English language... is the word "Christian." (Especially in the South) We live in a culture where the majority of people in our community claim to be a Christian. Think about it... We live in Christian homes and come from Christian families... we have Christian businesses and attend Christian schools... Hey, we even eat Christian chicken... can I get an Amen? just not on Sundays.

We live in what seems to be a "Christian" world... But the question I want us to address today is... What exactly is... a Christian?

I'm asking this question, because I believe... when we really start peeling back the layers of this onion... we'll discover that Biblical Christianity looks a little different than cultural Christianity.

Culture will tell you that being a "Christian" means... you've walked an aisle, and you've prayed with a preacher, and you've been dunked in a pool of water.

To live as a "Christian" (in the South)... to some people means... that you open doors for ladies... and you say yes ma'am and no ma'am. I've actual heard people say-being a Christian means you read your Bible Monday through Friday... you avoid getting drunk on Saturday... and you make sure you're in church on Sunday. And listen... I'm all for that! ...but let me ask you a question: Do you really think that's what being a Christianis all about?

There are few things about Christianity, I think that all of us need to know...
What it IS... and also... What it's NOT.

Christianity IS NOT a birthright. Today in Egypt, EVERY PERSON is considered, either a Muslim or a Christian. In fact, when a baby is born, on the birth certificate are those two choices. You're either born Muslim, or you're born Christian. So, when you hear today that 10% of Egypt is Christian... understand, to them, being Christian doesn't necessarily mean that ...
