This week as I was studying I was going to preach John 6:25-60
But as I was studying it I got fired up about John 6 in how John 6 declares JESUS IS BETTER
So I will be in John 6:25 in a couple weeks but today I want us to turn to the 1st part of John 6.
Another Familiar passage to those that have attended church...
The Feeding of the 5,000
Now as we get into this let it be noted.
John 6:10 says 5,000 men. Many would believe there were 15-20 thousand people on the grass that day.
Today we will be in John 6:1-14 We will read and preach some today....

John 6:1-14 Some time after this,
In John 5, Jesus healed a man who had been paralyzed for 38 years at the Pool of Bethesda.
He did it on the Sabbath, leading to a confrontation with the Jewish leaders who were upset with Jesus for breaking the Sabbath rules + in it JESUS claimed that God was His Father, thus making Himself equal with God.
So they were all upset....So "After that..."
He went to the NE side of the Lake.
Probably from the area of Capernaum/Magdala over. (show on Map)
Jesus crossed to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee (that is, the Sea of Tiberias), IF we get to go back you will see the Sea is really a Lake [NIV] 2 and a great crowd of people followed him because they saw the signs he had performed by healing the sick. So we know "Large Crowds were gathering
All b/c Jesus' Popularity was growing due to his Miracles: Roughly 15 Miracles before this have been recorded.
