We will look at different stories in the NT of moments where people declared JESUS is Better.

What you decide is "Better" typically tends to be a high standard.

A Standard you chase after.
A preference that you desire or long for
A motivation that changes your direction.
A conviction that you listen to
A foundation you stand on no matter what.

Today I pray you are encouraged to say no matter what you are faced with, no matter what this world throws at you that you will say...

Jesus is my foundation!

I want us to read a story that if you have been in church for a long you might have heard.

It is found in the book of Acts in the New Testament
Just 5 books into the N.T

A book a man named Peter wrote and it is all about the gospel going out into the world through the local church.

In this story, we find a man named Stephen.

Now we must note

The Church is growing like crazy and the Apostles can't keep up with taking care of the people.

There were some complaints - even the early church had it.

They did not retreat though to stop growing and stop taking the gospel. they adjusted by getting others involved.

One of the ones who got involved in Acts 6:5-6 was a man named Stephen.

Stephen was referred to in Acts 6:5 as a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit"

So a man who probably had surrendered his life to Christ in the past 3-4 y ...
