1.0 Jesus Came Into the World to Give You Life.
1.1 He gives the God-kind of life to .
A) The God-kind of life comes from the Greek word zoe.
1. The God-kind of life is rich, abundant divine nature of God; His fullness of love, joy, power, and ability.
2. Jesus freely gives everyone who comes to Him access to this God-kind of life.
3. The God-kind of life is found as you walk in God's will for your life.
B) By choosing to follow Jesus, you're also choosing to know and follow God's will for your life.
1. The term God's will means His plan, desires, intentions, and purpose.
2.0 How Do You Walk in God's Will for Your Life?
2.1 SCRIPTURE provides guidance for us.
A) God's word is the first place you should go to determine God's will for your life.
1. God wants you to live a purpose-driven, satisfying, and meaningful life.
Psalm 119:105 (NIV)-Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
2. The Bible provides guidance, direction, and wisdom in daily living.
i. Daily Bible reading helps you discover answers that'll guide your moral, ethical, financial, and even relational choices.
ii. God's will includes His desires for you. For example, God desires that all people be saved from the wrath that is to come.
iii. Accepting Christ as your Savior is the will of God. Walking with Him daily is the will of God. The word clearly declares this aspect of God's will of desire for you.
John Calvin, the legendary French theologian said, "We must remember that Satan has his miracles, too, and that he seeks to displace God's Word and bring the people into darkness. This is why it is vital that we stay within the bounds of God's will as revealed in the Scriptures."
B) Scripture provides guidance for you in that it directs you to prayer for guidance as to the will of God.
