4) Give kids unlimited glitter & glue to make a card.
5) Don't get her anything, since she said she didn't want anything, and you were definitely supposed to believer her.
Today I want to talk about another kind of gift. Not a Mother's Day gift, but the gift of the speaking in tongues. Moving forward with tongues. Three questions.
I. What is it?
Have you ever been given a gift but didn't know what it was? I think most people have had that experience. This happened to me on my last birthday. Gina Scharr had told me she had a surprise gift for me for my birthday that she'd been working on for weeks. There were a lot of people present for my birthday and we all gathered around. Gina had a big bag with a lot of items in it. The first thing she brought out was a mason jar full of some concoction I had never seen before. I said, "Thank you, Gina. That is so thoughtful. I really appreciate it. Uh...what IS it?" It was sourdough starter. Gina knows that I bake a loaf of whole wheat bread every week, so she decided to expand my horizons by giving me the necessary tools to make sourdough bread. Tool number one is the starter. The learning curve on making sourdough bread is steep. There's more to it than meets the eye. The same could be said for speaking in tongues. The learning curve is steep. Let's start with this, "What is it?"
