Do you ever look back at a younger you and think... what was a I thinking? Do you have decisions you regret, choices you'd choose differently today. Younger... how about THIS WEEK.

- Everyone from time to time makes foolish choices. We have moments and we can have seasons of foolishness. But make no mistake, foolishness is dangerous. It ends in peril. -- And while even the faithful Christ follower does foolish things ... apart from Christ we are given to foolishness, inclined toward folly.

- Walking with Christ as a believer involves walking in wisdom and avoiding foolish living. This morning I want us to see the danger of foolish living from Ecclesiastes and I want to point you to the one the delivers from foolish living.

1. Wisdom and Foolishness are Both Powerful (9:13-10:1)

[13] I have also seen this example of wisdom under the sun, and it seemed great to me. [14] There was a little city with few men in it, and a great king came against it and besieged it, building great siegeworks against it. [15] But there was found in it a poor, wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city. Yet no one remembered that poor man. [16] But I say that wisdom is better than might, though the poor man's wisdom is despised and his words are not heard. [17] The words of the wise heard in quiet are better than the shouting of a ruler among fools.

The scene: A tiny city without a lot of people. This big bad king shows up to take over the city. He is setting up to take the city out, and it shouldn't be a problem because he's a great king and this is a tiny city. --- But there is a twist!--- A poor, wise man.

- His saving wisdom shows the power of wisdom. When all seemed to be going under, a poor wise man saves a tiny city from a great king. This is David and Goliath type proportions.--- One is a great fighter... bu ...
