ILLUS.- America- Tomorrow is July 4th. It's the day we celebrate our freedom as a nation. In America we value to the pursuit of a happy life. We live in a country where you can pursue your dreams, your future is not determined by your past. It's an incredible place to live.

- Declaration of Independence-"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all mean are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

- It's in our founding documents, we live in a nation of people pursuing happiness. -- We are not the first, man has been pursuing happiness since the beginning. Some think the key to happiness is romance, some think its success... everyone has their view. One common one is money.--- "If I just had more money I'd be happy." -- People associate money with all sorts of things that can help them be happy... success, independence, security.

- The truth is many look at abundance and wealth and they see a mirage. They think happiness is there. Many in our nation today are chasing the mirage of abundance, thinking if they just had more they'd finally have enough.

- ILLUS.- I remember watching cartoons as a kid and Bugs Bunny or whoever would be in the desert thirsty and there would be a huge body of water... but it was never there. It was a mirage. It's like the guy on the island with one other person and after a few days they start looking like a hamburger!

- This morning the mirage of abundance is going to be revealed and if you've fallen prey to it, it can be replaced with a better reality. The ket to life this morning is not more.
