A dad was frustrated with his children's growing sense of entitlement. They were always asking for something and never helping out. After coming to the realization that his children were spoiled, he sat them all down for a "fatherly talk" where he proceeded to tell them how good they have it by sharing how bad he had. "Kids, when I was your age, I had to get up before daylight to deliver papers. I walked to school in the rain and snow, barefoot, and it was uphill both ways. I worked at a grocery store after school to help out and our family never had enough, there was barely enough food on the table, and we never had new or nice clothes."

After hearing this sob story, their eyes were big as saucers. They were speechless and the father was beginning to think he had gotten through to them until his 4-year-old spoke up and said, "Gee dad, I bet you're glad you live with us now!"

There's a lot I don't know. There is a lot about life I still don't understand but one thing I do know is that my life is better with Christ than without Him. My life is much better now than it was before. I'm glad Jesus lives in me now!

For those old enough to remember, Vestel Goodman, of the "Happy Goodman's" gospel group, used to sing a song entitled, "I wouldn't take nothing for my journey now." That is how King David felt looking back over his life. Remember, David's life had been anything but dull or boring.
