- This time of year can be chaotic and therefore a stressful time of year! It's amazing its a season themed with peace and joy but many times people feel stressed and sad.

- Add to the Holiday stress .... the things going on in the world: terrorism, violence, a shifting culture, a divided country... there is plenty of things people can stress over.

- Stress not dealt with properly creates anxiety and worry and robs you of PEACE. It's God's will that you walk in peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace and wants you to have peace.

- One of the things sin did from the very beginning was rob humanity of peace with God. From the moment Adam and Eve sinned they were no longer at peace with God, they were rebels. The Bible actually teaches that without a relationship with Christ we are enemies of God.

- However, the whole story of Christmas is that God has made a way for you and I to have peace with Him. Jesus came and died on the cross so we can be at peace with God.

Rom. 5:1- Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

- If you are a Christian this morning you are at peace with God. That's the miracle of the cross.

- Although we have peace with God we don't always experience the peace of God. We experience things that tempt us to worry in this life. We get sinned against, we experience wars and rumors of wars, we experience painful things, we go through difficult times. Peace with God speaks to our relationship with God, the peace of God speaks of how we deal with and react to the circumstances around us.

- The truth is we live in between times. In the here and now God doesn't promise to take away every thing that concerns you, He does promise to give you peace... on His terms, in the midst of all circumstances.
