Recently my wife and I had one of the most majestic and noble visitors, as I heard her call me to the kitchen window. As I arrived, my wife was bidding me to look out the window, where I detected a very large bird, it was not a mature bald eagle, but it was an eagle, right there in our back yard.

The eagle had landed in a tree, before dropping down on the ground, then it sailed across the field, spreading those big massive wings, and with a few flaps of those wings, it began to soar, upwards, as I ran outside, watching it go higher and higher, until that big beautiful bird, sailed out of sight.

I live in North Georgia and recently our county has been blessed with several mating eagles, with new babies being born on a yearly basis. Previously, we only had one nesting pair of eagles, which were located at Cater's Lake, in the south eastern part of Murray County, but now we have several nests.

In the past, I would drive down to Berry College, where they have a pair of eagles mating and nesting right outside of their gymnasium. The college has set up a 24/7 eagle cam, even placing a spotting scope in the parking lot, as visitors sit around watching the eagles and their babies.

The two eagles at Berry College are used to having human visitors, as they often land in a nearby tree, while soaking in the sun rays. There is nothing like turning on that eagle cam and watching those birds prepare their nest from year to year, sitting on their eggs, while fending of predators, once the baby eaglets arrive.
