ILLUS. - People find all sorts of ways to separate and differentiate people. - It may be by race, income, education, zip code. It can be by voting and political values. It can be by age. - On Independence Day my neighborhood was divided by people who bought fireworks and shot them, and people like me who simply sat in their driveway and watched them.


- There is coming a day when you will be able to divide the whole world, all of humanity, into simply two groups. - The lost and the saved. The believer and the unbeliever. - Revelation 14 begins to highlight that GREAT DIVIDE.


- In chapter 13 we saw the dragon's two henchmen. The beast of the sea, the Antichrist ... and the beast of the earth, the False Prophet. -It seems these two figures during the tribulation period that precedes the second coming of Christ, will work to deceive the earth. Many will follow the Antichrist, he will be worshipped. Many will take up the mark of the beast, showing their loyalty to him so they can participate in the marketplace. - But the Antichrist and the False Prophet will meet a certain doom ... as will those who choose to follow them instead of Christ.


- Here in chapter 14 John looks again ... and he beholds. - We get 3 distinct sections ... a vision of the Lamb and the 144,000 ... three angels and then a voice from heaven with a total of four messages being conveyed ... and then a picture of a great harvest/judgment to come.

- What I want us to see from this chapter today ... is there is a GREAT DIVIDE shown here. Those that follow Christ and those that follow the Antichrist are DIFFERENT. They are not the same and they do not hold the same future. Today we will see their contrast, then a warning for all and an encouragement for the believer ... and finally the harvest to come.
