The story of Adam and Eve was being carefully explained in the children's Sunday School class. Following the story, the children were asked to draw some picture that would illustrate the story.


Little Bobby was most interested and drew a picture of a car with three people in it. In the front seat, behind the wheel was a man and in the back seat, a man and a woman.


The teacher was at a loss to understand how this illustrated the lesson of Adam and Eve.


But little Bobby was prompt with his explanation. "Why, this is God driving Adam and Eve out of the garden!"

Introduction

Jesus has just finished up the Lord's Supper, and if you will remember, He washed their feet to teach them servant leadership, and He pointed out the traitor who was Judas Iscariot! When you are looking at John 13-17 it all occurs in one night! He has much to say and do on this Thursday Night before crucifixion Friday! He met with His disciples for the Passover, and transformed it into the Lord's Supper!

He will go out and pray in the Garden of Gethsemane, and surrender to the cup that the Father had for Him! He will be betrayed by Judas Iscariot with a kiss of deception, and then have to stand for the many illegal trials that he faced with all the torture and abuse! He explains what HE will do for all believers including you and me, and then in chapter 17, He prays for those things to happen in our lives! The betrayal of Judas sets all of this in motion, for it was the time that Jesus would give His life just as all the other Passover lambs were giving theirs! That is why the Lord said 'What you do, do it quickly" to start the events that will culminate in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ!

When Judas leaves, the Lord gives His exclusive words to the true apostles! Judas is gone, and all that are left are the true followers in Chri ...
