Title: Nearing the End (11)
Series: Paul-An Apostle of Christ
Author: Josh Malone
Text: 2 Tim. 4:6-8

- If you were writing your last text, email, or note, to a dear friend what would it say?

- We don't all know when the last moments are going to be. Some know that, some don't. There is a weight to someone's final words, when someone is staring death in the eye ... you might take them the most serious you ever have.

- In 2 Timothy we have the last recorded letter from Paul. He is in prison writing his friend he has mentored. Paul senses his death is soon to come as he writes from a dark prison cell. Paul would later be executed as a martyr under the reign of Roman Emperor Nero.

- Ultimately history teaches us that he died a martyrs death under Nero's reign.

2 Tim. 4:6-8 - 6For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my
departure has come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the
faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the
righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to ...
