- Last week when we left off with Saul of Tarsus ... he had journeyed toward Damascus to find Christians and lock them up. BUT ... along the way ... the Lord found Saul. - Saul is now a new found believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

- New life in Christ is an amazing thing. - In fact when we look at this new believer we learn some things that are great reminders for us about the Christian life ... whether you are a new believer ... or a long time believer.

- When Paul became a Christ follower ... things changed for Him. He became a new person, with new purpose, a new spiritual family ... and let's be clear ... he gained some new problems he didn't have before.

- Becoming a Christian doesn't end all our problems, in fact, we can gain some new ones! - But life in Christ is glorious and ever problem is worth it to know Christ ... and power of His resurrection.

- Paul discovered ... when found people FIND some things ... we DISOVER some things. - The new believer finds a new life with new joys ... and challenges.

Acts 9:18-31 - 18 And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he rose and was baptized; 19 and taking food, he was strengthened.

- Paul here is immediately baptized. Why? He believes. His first act is to do what other Christ followers were doing and that's to be baptized showing His devotion to Christ.

For some days he was with the disciples at Damascus. 20 And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying, "He is the Son of God." 21 And all who heard him were amazed and said, "Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?" 22 But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was t ...
