1Sa 17:40 KJV - And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling [was] in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.

In this sermon series, we will find David learning lessons at three various brooks in his life, "The Brook of Elah, The Brook of Besor, and the Brook of Kidron." We can learn many lessons as we delve into these stories, realizing that there are times that we must fight, at other times we must wait upon the will of God, as we feel as if we have been abandoned, and finally we can see King David, being targeted by his own son, as he flees, weeping and wondering up the Mount of Olives, under the veil of night.
Today's sermon will teach us that there are times that we must fight, because the enemy is trying to take all that is important to us. The thing about all of this is that all of our giants are not nine feet and nine inches tall.
Some of the giants that people face come in glass bottles or aluminum cans, as they taunt their victims, waging a continual war against them
Often people's giants come in prescription bottles and they can't function if they are not able to over medicate, as their giant glares at them. Some of their giants are places, where they have gambling machines, those giants taunt their victims, bidding them to spend just one more dolla ...
