Text: Ephesians 1:3-6

William Randolph Hearst became a wealthy newspaper publisher in the 1920's when he expanded his empire from Los Angeles to the east coast as he bought 28 different newspapers.
He owned newspapers in Chicago, Detroit, New York, Boston, and Washington D.C. One of papers was the Seattle P-I.

He used his wealth to built a castle as his home in California and invested a fortune in collecting European art treasures for his home. Some Greek vases he collected dated back to 800 B.C. He also bought rare oriental carpets, antique furniture, mantels and tapestries.

One day Mr. Hearst read a description of some valuable artwork that he felt he must own as part of his collection, so he sent his agent abroad to find the items and buy them for his estate.

After months of searching, the agent returned and reported to Mr. Hearst that he had finally found the treasures which he had requested. The reason it had taken him so long to locate the items was they were already in Mr. Hearst's warehouse!
