1.0 We All Have a Financial Story That'll Shape Us.

1.1 God would love to play a role in your financial future.

A) It is the will of God that you positively impact coming generations. This can be done by the legacy your character, faith, and good deeds accomplish.

Proverbs 13:22 (CEV)-If you obey God, you will have something to leave your grandchildren. If you don't obey God, those who live right will get what you leave.

1. By taking advantage of the ideas, opportunities, and gifts God gives, your financial future can be strengthened so you're able to help others and leave a legacy for coming generations.

2. God also blesses you so you're able to resource the advancement of His kingdom in the earth.

3. God's blessings are tied to you obeying Him and His financial principles.

i. Did you know that a person can be well educated, enjoy a successful career, practice godly values, and live a Jesus-centered life, but be financially illiterate?

Note: Jesus used the parable of The Bags of Gold to teach a diverse audience that practicing good financial literacy will transform your financial future.

ii. Jesus did not demonize money or those who had it. He encouraged us to better manage money and the resources entrusted to us.

Matthew 25:14-18 (NIV)-14 Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. 18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.
