Great to see you here this morning and so glad that you are here. We are here for Easter Sunday. Easter Sunday is a big day around the world, and it's a big day and big weekend in our nation. And kids get excited about Easter. And department stores get excited about Easter. Grocery stores that sell candy, they get excited about Easter because Easter is important. Now lots of people who celebrate Easter, I think many of them don't really understand what it's all about. I did a little Google search yesterday, and I was in google images and just typed in the word Easter just to see what would come up. And what came up were Easter bunnies. You know, what people think about with Easter. There are bunnies. And then, Easter eggs because everybody thinks eggs and decorating eggs. And then some think about Easter baskets and Easter candy.
And I heard one mom. She told the kids, she said, "I hid your Easter candy in my stomach." They weren't going to find it. Easter baskets and then we have like Easter chicks. And I looked at that and all these images are about 450 as I roughly counted about 450 images for the word Easter. And of those 450 images, twelve of them had anything to do with Jesus, twelve! Now I think that if you kind of look at that and step back, you'd say, "People seem to be pretty fuzzy when it comes to what Easter is all about." It's not about eggs and chicks and baskets and bunnies. Easter is about the fact that Jesus is risen and He is risen indeed! That is the story of Easter. That's why we've gathered here today to celebrate (applause) the empty tomb.
Years ago when I was at Champion Forest, it was Easter time, and I was talking to one of the guys that had come to the service. And he was Jewish. And I said, "Man, it is so exciting that you're here to worship Jesus." I said, "Now, you believe in Jesus?" He said, "No!" I said, "Well, glad you're here. What did you come ...
