Well, if you have your Bible, please turn to Genesis chapter 13. My Bible entitles this chapter Abram and Lot. We've titled this message, "A Step in the Wrong Direction." That's kind of a great statement concerning the life of Lot.
Now, how many in here would say that directions are just not your thing? You're directionally challenged. You get behind a wheel and if you're supposed to turn left, you just have trouble. I'm like that and it kind of runs in my family. My brother is like that. My nephew is like that. My daughter Amy is like that, so much so that Debbie always tells Amy, "Amy, if you're driving and you come to a stop sign or a red light and you don't know whether to turn left or right, and everything within you says turn left, go right, because you just always make the wrong turn." Doyle Dykes was telling me about making a wrong turn in Philadelphia. He didn't have much gas in his vehicle, and he needed to get gas. He made a wrong turn and ended up in a kind of a scary part of town, and somebody started following him. He said, "I had a really expensive guitar in the back seat of my car," and he said, "I was having to flee from this guy." And he said, "I have no gas, and I'm driving really fast, trying to figure out where I'm going." And he said, "It was a very scary experience." Hey, you can get yourself in a lot of trouble if you take a wrong turn.
But what happens if you take a wrong turn in life? You know, you take a wrong turn in a car, and it used to be - younger people don't realize this because they've always grown up with Google maps - but before Google maps, there was a key map or a big map that you had to buy.
