Reclaiming the Rainbow (16 of 61)
In the Beginning
Pastor Jeff Schreve
Primary Scripture: Genesis 8:15-9:17
If you have your Bible, please turn to Genesis chapter 8. One of my favorite stories is the story about a pastor who was in the neighborhood visiting one of his congregants. And as he gets out of his car, he sees a little boy across the street, and he's at the front door of another house. And he's trying to ring the doorbell, but he's just a little guy and he can't reach it, so he's trying to jump up and hit the doorbell, and he's just failing, failing, failing. And the pastor said, "Well, I got a few extra minutes. I'm going to do a good deed for the day." And so, he walks over to that house - didn't know who the people were - just walks over to that house. Sees the little boy doing that, and he said, "Hey, little boy, let me help you." And so, he rings the doorbell. And then he crouches down, and he says to him, "Now, little man, what do we do?" He said, "Now we run!"

And Noah and his family and the animals were on the ark for 370 days.
How many people have taken a cruise? How many people have taken a cruise and maybe it's a ten-day cruise, or a fifteen-day cruise, and you think, I'm ready to go home. Anybody have that experience on a cruise? I had a thirteen-day cruise once with Larry in the Mediterranean, and Debbie didn't go. And after day three I was ready to go home. You know, it was one of those things. Can you imagine being on the ark? It was not a cruise ship. It had to be a vessel that would, overtime ...
