Title: What of the Night

For this past month, I have attempted to turn our hearts toward the need and the urgency not just revival, but of us being revived. There may be some who say, "I don't need revival because I'm all that I need to be and have no need of anything." If that's you, more power to you, but I can tell you, 'it's not me.' Anytime that God can renew, refresh, and restore my Spirit, I'll take it because I know, that I have not arrived and will never arrive until I arrive in Heaven.
Two weeks ago, I asked, "Do YOU really want revival?" While I submit this is a valid question, notice I didn't ask, "Do WE?" Because WE will only want revival if "I" want revival.
Last week I asked with this question, "Are YOU ready for God?" A personal question because this is personal.
Seven or 8 years ago, I was studying about revival and from a message by Vance Havner, our passage kind of 'took hold of me.' I read it in the CSB, NKJV, ESV, and well, about 20 different ways because of how this impacted me.

This is our last Sunday before we begin to have a series of services called, "Revival Services" which are, for me, extremely important. It is a time when, if we choose to listen, God will speak loudly, clearly, and personally. This passage gives us several pictures to fill our minds and our heart.
Watchman - This is a familiar term in the Bible. Watchmen are those who keeps a watch to protect from the enemy. In the four different translations we read was this word, but some other iterations of it are, "Guard", and "Sentinel". We get it, a watchman is someone who keeps watch, protect, and guards.
