INTRODUCTION: I have found out that you never know what kind of people you will run into during your life. There are some people who are nice; some who are mean; some who are selfish; some who are controlling; some who are optimists; some who are pessimists; some who are narcissists; some who are filled with hate and violence; and others who you have no problem getting along with.

If you haven't come across any of these people (and this is not an exhaustive list), trust me when I tell you, they are out there.

As a Christian, one of the things we're expected to do is show these people who are hard to get along with, and even harder to love, what Christian living looks like. Jesus was approached by people from all walks of life with many problems and much baggage; but, He handled all of them appropriately because as some would say, "it's a lot easier to catch flies with sugar than with vinegar." Jesus displayed for us how we should respond to the various types of people who approach us. I will tell you this, when some of these people approach us, they are displaying for us What Holy Living Does Not Look Like!

BACKGROUND/TEXT: Here in the 5th Chapter of Galatians, Paul is continuing his discourse on what's known as the works of the flesh. Dr. Finis Dakes calls this section, "Manifestations of a fleshly life: sins that will damn your soul."1 Can we see why it was so important for Paul to get this information to the church at Galatia and the world? He started off dealing with sexual sins; then he dealt with spiritual sins; now he helping us to understand physical sins. We're still dealing with my third point which is Unholy Social Living.
