Do you know where the WHITE FLAG COMES FROM?
A Roman historian named Cornelius Tacitus wrote about it in 109AD speaking of the fall of the Eastern Han dynasty.
Before this moment Soldiers would lift their shields in a sign of defeat. Yet that blinded in and often fighting keeps happening.
So, soldiers started pulling out white cloths and would put them on the end of their swords and wave them saying....
We quit.
We surrender.
We will fall under your leadership.
We will fall under the lordship of your king.
That is what this series is about...
Saying... Daily I want to wave the flag and fall under the Lordship of Jesus my King.
A series I pray God uses to challenge you as you start this year to re-focus your walk with Christ and to live a life surrendered to Him in all you do this year.
I am more and more convinced the more we live surrendered the better our community, our personal health, our marriages, our families, and our lives will be.
A life lived according to God's word is a life that lives with hope today and peace for tomorrow!
That is why we are doing a series called Surrendered!!!
One thing you hear me talk a lot about is how you start your day matters.
If you start it on the Phone
If you start it in a rush
If you start it stressed out
If you start it angry
How you start can determine the pace of your day.
