Introduction

1. Even if you don't smoke and you've never smoked people may think you do and you may smell like smoke. There is a phenomenon known as "third hand smoke." It is the residual contamination from tobacco smoke that lingers long after the smoking stops when you are in the presence of people who are smoking. If you remain there long enough even when you leave their presence the smell will still be on your clothes and even on your skin. So, whether you have been smoking or not people will at least know you have been with people who have been. They can tell just by being around you.

2. When I read that I was reminded of something amazing I read about two men in the bible named Peter and John. They were two of the twelve disciples that spent three years with Jesus and they were two of his very closest friends. There was something that was said about them that caught my attention. Then, I thought to myself "I want that to be thought about me by anybody who gets around me." It is in the fourth chapter of the book of Acts 4.

3. It has been almost two months since Jesus was crucified and raised from the dead. He has bid his farewell to his disciples and he has ascended into heaven. In the eyes of many, Jesus was just a momentary blip on the screen of time; just another religious fanatic who had come and gone. Pilate washed his hands of him. The Pharisees were glad to get rid of him and most people no longer cared about him because he was not the political messiah they were hoping for. Well, Jesus was gone but he was not forgotten.

3. The religious leaders thought that crucifixion was the aspirin that got rid of their headache, but now these two men were giving them a migraine. Filled with the holy spirit, Peter and John were going about Jerusalem healing the sick, teaching the truth, and preaching the gospel of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesu ...
