In October of 1994, a 57 year old veteran pilot was flying with his son in his private Cessna aircraft. They were coming over the mountains of Utah when he radioed to air traffic control that he'd had a sudden loss of oil pressure. Walter Ashcraft, a skilled surgeon from St. Louis, MO began emergency landing procedures, trying to land at a small airport in the fog-covered mountains of Utah.
