Title: "The Perfect Hiding Place" (2 of 22)
Text: Psalm 119: 9-16
Author: Steve Wagers
Corrie Ten Boom's family were watchmakers in their small town in the Netherlands. Aware of the Nazi persecution, Corrie had a deep love in her heart for God's people, the Jews, and they built a secret room in their home to begin the Dutch Underground movement, to hide and protect the Jews.
In 1940, the Nazi's invaded the Netherlands. When a man asks Corrie to help his wife who had been arrested, Corrie agrees, but with misgivings. As it turns out, the man is a spy and the watch shop is raided. The entire family is arrested, along with the shop employees, but the Jews managed to stay hidden in the secret room.

In the previous stanza, he outlined that the highway of happiness was a highway of holiness. Connected to that highway are a lot of detours that lead to dead-ends. In order to stay out of the ditches of the world, we must stay on the King's Highway laid out in the pages of His Word. It is the perfect hiding place.
Thomas Manton - "God's laws are ways that lead us to God. They describe a course of conduct, a line of duty, and mark the boundaries of good and evil, right and wrong"
C. H. Spurgeon - "Men do not drop into the right way by change, only by choice; and they must continue to choose it, or they will soon wander from it."
1) The PROBLEM He ADDRESSES!
A) SINNING - The Word CLEANSES Us (9, 11)
The Psalmist knew his weakness and frailty, and the constant struggle to do that which was right.
