Series: Numbers-Life In Between

Text: Numbers 22-24
We are steadily studying the book of Numbers on Sunday mornings in a series called, Life In Between. If you don't know much about this Old Testament book, here's one thing you should know. This is a story about God's people wandering in the wilderness because of their disobedience. They are in between their deliverance from Egypt and the Promised Land that God had provided.
One thing we've learned is that God's people are a lot like us. They fail and fall, stutter and stumble a lot. And we have said that living in this world is a lot like wandering in the wilderness. There's a parallel with God's people then and God's people today. We live in between salvation and Heaven. And we have to learn how to navigate the wilderness of this world until God brings us to our final destination.
Today, we're in Numbers 22-24 and we see God's people In Between Blessing and Cursing. This is another famous story you may have heard before. In these chapters we see the miraculous story of Balaam's donkey, when God gives this animal the ability to speak. This may be a part of the story you are familiar with, but there's so much more happening here in these chapters. READ 22:22-35 - PRAY

Sometimes it's very easy to tell the good guys from the bad guys - the hero is clear and the villain is clear. We know that Goliath is the big bully who comes against God's people and David is the young Hebrew boy who rises to the occasion and kills the giant. That's an easy one to figure ou ...
