We're in a sermon series on Sunday mornings studying the book of Numbers in the Old Testament. And today, we come to Numbers 15. *If you don't know where it is, you can find it on page 172 in my Bible. That means it's near the beginning. For a lot of books, page 172 might be near the end. But with the Bible, you're just getting started!*

I'm calling this series, Life in Between because God's people find themselves in a moment like all of us do from time to time. They are in between God's promise and its provision. And we saw last week how they rejected God's promise and provision.

Sometimes we find ourselves in a tough place because this world is sinful and full of trouble. Everyone experiences the challenges of this world. But other times, we find ourselves in a tough spot of our own disobedience and foolishness. Then, we have to take our punishment and learn the lessons God wants us to learn.

Today, from Numbers 15, we see where the Israelites are In Between the Law and Grace. And to be honest, when I read chapter 15, I get the sense that God is taking His people back to the beginning. None of this is new material. They have discussed this stuff before. But since their disobedience in chapters 13 and 14, God needs to remind His people of some important things.
