We are studying the book of Numbers on Sunday mornings. Go ahead and find it in your Bible. *It shouldn't be too hard to find. It's near the beginning in the pages that are most likely still stuck together. You know, the ones that don't have that much wear and tear on them? Most of the time, we avoid this book because we think it's boring and confusing. But I hope the Lord has been teaching you some things through this series.*
I'm calling this series, Life in Between, because that's where God's people are in this book. They are in between their miraculous deliverance from slavery in Egypt and the final fulfillment of the Promised Land.

So, for now, we live in the world. And that's a lot like wandering in the wilderness. In fact, I've said many times already; what the wilderness was to the Israelites the world is to the Christian. Living in this world is like wandering in the wilderness.
Today, we come to Numbers 12 and I'm preaching on this subject, In Between Worldliness and Godliness. Here in these verses, we see some of God's people acting like the world. And the sad truth is, we still see a lot of that today within the church. READ 1-16

Envy is the pain or frustration caused by another person having something that you don't. It's the child that pitches a fit because his little brother has a toy that he doesn't have. It's the husband that notices his friend's new golf clubs and just has to have a new set of his own. It's the mom who sees the b ...
