I am honored to be with you tonight to share with you Gods word and to celebrate with the Lords Supper with you.
Tonight, is the conclusion of our series La Communion de Los Santos. We will be focusing on the "anticipation" of our future together.
Q. Have you ever anticipated something so much that you couldn't sleep at night?
Maybe you have anticipated
- The start of a new job
- Starting school
- A family vacation.
- A raise in salary
- Your tax refund
Maybe some of your anticipation was more stressful!
- Like going to the dentist
- Getting a vaccine
- Taking medicine
-Driving in traffic
- Waiting on Bills
- Going through the checkout at the store.
- Paying taxes (everyone's favorite)
Anticipation can be negative or positive. When we look what God has in store for us we begin to understand that most everything before we met Jesus was negative.
In fact, the Bible says that Satan, the prince of this world is actively trying to kill, steal, and destroy us every day. We lived in fear and anticipated the worst all the time.
Tonight, I want us to look at what God has in store for us so that we can celebrate together Gods goodness towards us.
Turn with me in your Bibles to 1 Thessalonians chapter 5,
