We were planning on launching a series today based around being generous people...but with the events of the world happening now I just felt the series we had planned for after that would be timely...A series called "Not Be Shaken"...

It's not like you can get through this life unscathed... ( I loved the statement Don Metcalf used..."we have to help people survive earth") but there is a way to walk when things are being shaken around you.
First of all let me establish something important!
There are seasons where God is doing the shaking and it is good!
Acts 4:31 (ESV)
31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.
There are seasons where the Holy Spirit comes on your life and it's the very shaking that you need.
When is the last time that you prayed and things were shaken?
In the book of Acts chapter two we see the new believers gathered and while they prayed the Holy Spirit ushered in the power of God in a way that people spoke in new languages, gifts of the Spirit were distributed and the world was turned upside down!
Prayers that shake things in the earth are absolutely what is needed right now.
Presidents and politicians are not going to solve the issues of the world. We need to be P.U.S.H people..pray until something happens!
Don't be a "just get by believer"...recognize that God may want to shake you up and empower you in a way you have never experienced or maybe you have even resisted!

25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them,
26 and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors ...
