A. Between atlanta and athens there is a little town that isn't even on many maps.
1. In a few days this town will be the sight of an event that will be, for many, the most important event of their lives.
2. A meeting will take place between individuals and the god of this universe that is eternal in significance.
3. The event is starlight crusade.
B. The life changing encounter many will have will be a direct result of the work and worship of many of you.
C. Our preparation for this event is very important to the outcome in people's lives.
D. To prepare us i want to talk about a meeting in our lives that matters.
1. The basis for this message is found in luke 10.
2. The story is that of jesus in the home of mary and martha.
3. These sisters, along with their brother, lived in a bedroom community outside jerusalem called bethany.
4. This was a place jesus went to rest.
E. This meeting points out to us two very important factors that must be a part of starlight.

A. The wonder.
1. You find two sisters who have the same parents but are entirely different.
2. Isn't that the way it is in most families?
3. None of god's children are the same.
4. All are unique, special, and important.
5. The two sisters in this passage represent attitudes we should all possess.
B. Work. ''Welcomed him into her house.'' vs. 38.
1. It says a lot about martha that she welcomed jesus into her home.
A. Jesus should be welcomed into our lives.
B. He should be welcome in our homes.
