Introduction

A. If i asked each of you to come to this pulpit today and share a word the reactions would be mixed.

1. Some would be very comfortable doing this.

2. Others would be a little nervous but could do it.

3. Still others would absolutely panic.

B. The truth is everyone is gifted differently. Where i am strong you may not be, but where you are strong i may not be strong.

C. Even though all this is very true everyone has a pulpit. In fact there are many pulpits you have been given.

1. The definition of a pulpit is a raised platform where a speaker stands.

2. In life there are different platforms.

d. I believe as we enter a new millennium each of us should use the platforms we have been given to make positive difference in people's lives.

E. The best way we can do that is by sharing with others the difference jesus christ makes in our lives.

F. If god has saved you he has called you to share him.

1. God's first word to us is ''come''.

2. His second word is ''go''.

G. This is what 2 corinthians 4:1-6 is all about.

1. Paul was a personal witness for christ.

2. His life was all about the lord jesus christ.

3. His goal in life was to share christ with as many people as he could.

A. He loved christ.

B. He loved people.

4. Paul traveled a lot.

a. He saw many sights, but he didn't go as a sight-seer.

B. He went as a soul winner.

H. In 2 corinthians 4 we are encouraged to use the platforms we have been given as a witness for christ.

I. The soul winner's basis. Vs. 1-2.

A. Our basis is, first, what we have received.

1. We have received mercy.

2. Look at i timothy 1:12-13;15-16.

3. Often i hear people say ''i want my rights. I want what's coming to me.''

4. I don't want my rights, no ...
