3. He indicates much of this is due to ''millennial fever.''

Out from the rabble of the counter culture came such groups as the children of god, the divine light mission, the church of scientology, the robotic political followers of lyndon larouche, and the unification church of the rev. Sun myung moon.''
5. Since this time we have had the jonestown massacre, waco, and heaven's gates as the most extreme of the groups.
B. Who is attracted to a cult?
1. Time states is no one group socially or economically that is most attracted.
2. Disillusioned folks from every strata of life have been pulled into bizarre religious groups.
C. Which cult groups are the most successful?
1. Those that mix its teachings with ''weirdly adulterated christianity''.
2. Heaven's gate for instance took astrology and christianity together to build its belief system.
D. As we move towards a new millennium it is very important we stay true to the word of god and the god of the word.
1. It is important for ourselves and our children.
2. In order to do that we must test the spirits repeatedly.
e. 2 corinthians 11-13 gives us some tests we can follow to separate the true from the false.
