Title: God Speaks in Dreams (3 of 3)
Series: Where Did You Hear That?
Author: Jeff Ecklund
Text: Hebrews 1:1-2

We started on a series a few weeks ago about hearing from God.
That God these days speaks primarily from His word.

Hebrews 1:1-2 (ESV)

1Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

John 1:1-4 (ESV)

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2He was in the beginning with God.

3All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

John 1:14 (ESV)

14And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

We have also covered that God also speaks to us through prayer, by the Holy Spirit, through circumstances, through community.

We are people who were created to hear from God, people of revelation and vision and without that there is a "perishing" if you will in our life.

1 Samuel 3:1 (ESV)

1Now the boy Samuel was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no frequent vision.

You want to know what God is saying, so don't let "the word of the Lord" be rare in your life.

And just as sin can keep you hearing from God...(Adam hid from God after he sinned...It's a nature(al) reaction we have...

Repentance can be an incredible restorative decision you make that turns you back toward God. It's always easier to hear someone when you are near r ...
