There have been so many frustrating moments in my journey as a Dad... where I've been like, "God, are you sure these kids are a blessing?" Anyone else? Babies crying through the night... Sleep walking... one night, we had a kid sleep walking... and they opened a door, and threw up all over our book closet... I was like, "Lord, you've got to be kidding me!"

I remember tossing my baby in the air, while swimming in our community pool... and as I tossed them up... they threw up all over my face... You've gotta love when the lifeguard shuts down the community pool on a Saturday afternoon because your kid just erupted peas and carrots all over the shallow end.

Parents-I'm sure in your journey, there have been countless moments just like these... moments where you're like, "Seriously, Lord?" ...and yet, we're reminded in God's word that children are given by God... not to be a BURDEN, but to be a BLESSING.

[Psalm 127:3-5 NIV] says, 3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.

If you have kids, or grandkids, or if you're an adult that's been given the opportunity to shepherd and influence the next generation, I believe this says, you're blessed! But remember what we said last week about blessings...

The devil's mission is to steal God's blessings. His goal is to kill, steal, and destroy every good thing that God's ever given you... and that includes your marriage and your family.

So, how do we fight for our kids? (last week) We can do that by...


- Placing our kids in Godly environments.

- Modeling what it is to make God #1

- Prioritizing worship.

- Practicing generosity towards the things of God.
