Most parents are thrilled when they find out they're expecting a child... but it doesn't take long... before the magnitude of what they're about to experience begins to sink in.

I recently heard about 3 soon-to-be fathers who were standing together in a hospital waiting room... while their wives were delivering babies.

A nurse walked in and announced to one of them that his wife had just given birth to twins. He said, "Wow, TWINS! What a coincidence... I play baseball for the Minnesota twins." The other dads thought that was pretty cool.

A few minutes later, the nurse came back and announced to another man that he was the brand-new father of triplets. He said, "Triplets!?! That's amazing... it's also a little strange... because I actually work for the 3M company."

When he said that, the third man fell off his chair and fainted... He hit the ground... woke up sweating... and immediately started crying out loud... The nurses quickly gathered around the man and asked him if he felt sick. He said... "No, I'm not sick." They said, "Then what seems to be the matter?" He said... "I work for 7UP!"

If you're a parent here today, I think it's safe to say that there have been moments in your journey... where you have felt... overwhelmed. Some of you may feel overwhelmed right now. But as challenging as children may be... we're reminded from God's word... that Children aren't given by God to be a BURDEN...

Children are given by God to be a BLESSING.

[Psalm 127:3-5 NIV] says, 3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.

This tells us... if you're a parent or grandparent and you've been entrusted by God with children... you've been blessed! ...it's good to be reminded of that from time to tim ...
