Author: Marvin Patterson
Text:1 Corinthians 15:1-20

He looked around nervously, shook his head, and kept looking for valuables. He again heard, "Jesus is watching you."

This time, he shone his light all over, and it rested on a parrot.

He asked, "Did you say that?"

The parrot admitted that it had. "I'm just trying to warn you, that's all."

The burglar said, "Warn me, huh? Who are you? What's your name?"

"Moses."

"Well, what kind of stupid people would name a parrot 'Moses'?"

The bird answered, "I don't know; I guess the same folks who would name a Rottweiler 'Jesus'."

Introduction:

Paul has progressed to answer all the questions on the problems of the church at Corinth! Now he comes to a situation where there were some of the Corinthians are saying and preaching that Jesus had not resurrected, and we are still in our sins! That kills the blessed hope of the Christian, so Paul lays it out step by step of what would happen if the Lord had not risen from the dead, and then in verse twenty Paul concludes that Christ has risen from the dead, and we have the great hope of the resurrection because of Him!
