Introduction

A. Are you saved?

1. There are many ways we phrase That question? Are you a Christian, do you know christ, Do you have the assurance of Eternal life?

2. The biblical definition is: to Deliver, protect, or make whole.

3. Save is a good word.

4. In our study of ''why we believe'' This is a very important Question.

B. The greatest miracle is salvation.

1. The possibility of it. ''We have Gone astray.'' so different from Other religions. Seek god. In Christianity god seeks us.

Ill. Mohammed said, ''i have seen a Light.'' Jesus said, ''i am the light.''

Buddhists say, ''i have a way.'' Jesus said, ''i am the way.

2. The passion of it. ''While we were Yet sinners.''

3. The personal nature of it. ''For God so loved the world...''

4. The penetration of it. All can be Saved.

5. The price of it. God gave his son.

6. The power of it. Resurrect one From spiritual death.

C. Ephesians 2 gives to us a spiritual Biography.

I. Salvation is a new consciousness. Vs. 1-3.

We become aware of what we are without God in our lives:

A. Dead.

1. The biblical definition of death Is the separation of the soul From god.

Ill. Eternal life is not merely living Forever. Those in hell live Forever. Eternal life is christ in One's life.

2. All those without christ are Dead even though some appear More dead.

Ill. Bible: jairus' daughter dead for A few hours. Lazarus dead for 4 Days. Who was the most dead? Which was the biggest miracle? We see a nice person and say, ''He's a good man. We see a vile Person and say, ''he needs to be Saved.'' the truth is both need Christ.

B. Dominated. Vs. 2.

1. The world is filled with walking Dead men.

2. Talk about freedom. A lost Person can say he's free to do What he wants, but he can't say He's free to do what he ought.
