B. The problem is not that the church is No longer relevant. To the contrary The message of the church is very Relevant to the needs people are Facing in their lives today.

C. The problem is that in many cases the Church has forgotten its purpose.

D. Today, i want to talk about ''how to Get the most from your church.''

1. I corinthians 12 describes the Church using the word body.

2. Ill. This weekend is Disciplenow. In the manual Given to leaders the Relationship of the church As a body is described this Way:

A. The foundation is christ Who is the head of the Body.

B. The fellowship of the Members with god and Others is the heart of the Body.

C. The focus on christ, his Word, and his way are the Eyes of the body.

D. The function to be salt and Light are the legs and the Feet of the body.

E. The freedom to serve the Way god leads are the Arms and the hands of the Body.

C. One will get the most from the Church when:

I. You have the right understanding.

A. The head of the church is the lord Jesus christ.

1. He established the church.

2. He is the control center.

Ill. The problem today is too often Churches are controlled by anything And anyone but christ.

Ill. Every problem and situation in the New testament was handled with a Prayer meeting. In the 20th century Church things are handled in a Business meeting.

B. The body of christ is made up of Believers everywhere.

1. All are important.

2. When one hurts all hurt.

Ill. The plight of persecuted Christians around the world.

Ii. Gets a right start.

Ill. A right start is key to most things: a Day; marriage; vacation. This is also True with the church.
