Introduction

A. One cannot talk about life in the Marketplace without talking about Pressure.

B. Pressure is something we all must Face.

1. There are the internal Pressures.

2. There are external ones Caused by the exertion of a Secular society whose values Are so different from those of A believer in christ.

C. The bible is filled with people who Faced tremendous pressure in their Lives.

1. Can be the pressure of a Joseph to give in to sexual Temptation.

2. The pressure of a joshua and a Caleb to cave into the crowd, Even when they know the Crowd is wrong.

3. The pressure of three young Hebrew men named shadrach, Meshak, and abednigo to Worship a false and powerless God.

D. It doesn't take one long to learn The pressures of yesterday are not Much different than the ones we Face today.

E. Today, i want us to focus attention On the three young hebrew men Whose story is told in daniel 3.

F. There are several things we will Learn from their experience.

1. God's people are constantly Faced with pressure.

2. The closer you live to god the Greater the heat.

3. Pressure can be intensely Painful.

4. Pressure forces us to declare The level of our commitment.

5. Pressure can have positive Results.

I. The pressure to bow. (vs. 1-12)

A. One must contend with power. Vs. 1- 3.

1. There is the attempt to glorify Man.
