Introduction
A. Between the mid 60's and the late 1980's The unmarried population of the United states grew from 27% to 43%, With no slowdown in sight.
B. There are some general groups of Singles that need to be recognized.
1. Never married: 60% of all singles And number some 41 million.
A. There is a widening gap Between the end of Education and the Beginning of marriage.
B. They tend to be the least Churched segment of the Unmarried population.
C. They are not hostile Toward religion, but Neither are they vitally Interested in it.
2. Divorced. Nearly 16 million are Divorced.
3. Single parents. There are Approximately 10 million single Parents in the u.s..
4. Widows and widowers. There are Approximately 15 million adults Who fit this category.
C. Today we will deal with two kinds of Singles.
1. Those who are physcially single.
2. Those who are spiritually Single.
D. I corinthians 7 gives us some insights Into physical singleness.
1. Acknowledge that singleness is Good. You are not incomplete, Nor is there anything wrong With you. You are not a failure.
2. Accept singleness can be a gift Of god. Vs. 7
3. Allow it for growth. Vs. 26-27. The desire to be married isn't Bad, unless it dominates your Life and interferes with your Relationship with god.
4. Activate singleness for good. Vs. 32-35.
E. I want to share with you some General principles applicable to all Singles today.
Ii. Follow god's appointed direction.
A. There must be the inclusion of god in Your life.
1. God has a plan for your life.
