Introduction

2. appears instantly whenever a family member yells, mom.

3. knows exactly which clothes every child should wear everyday and has it washed and hung up in the closet.

4. is always home when you call.

5. uses coupons to save at least $15 every time she buys groceries.

6. never raises her voice.

7. never dreads teacher conferences.

8. attends every ''t'' ball game in heels and hose after a productive day at the office.

9. never says no.

10. keeps a regimented family schedule of daily tooth flossing and bible memorization.

b. actually the bible gives us the qualities of the ideal mom.

1. these verses form an acrostic that begin with each of the 22 letters of the hebrew alphabet.

2. from ''a to z'' the characteristics of the ideal mom are found in the person god has made you.

c. while society does all it can to shape us today we are to find our place in god's will.

d. the qualities of the ideal mom can be summed up in several words. they are:

i. strength.

the proverb writer speaks of the ''virtuous'' woman. the word virtuous actually means ''strength''.

a. this is a strength that is found in god.

1. throughout the bible we find the picture of godly women.

a. jochebed: the mother of moses.

b. deborah: one of the judges of israel.

c. ruth. who gave us the beautiful passage so often used in weddings.

d. esther.

e. mary, the mother of jesus.

f. dorcas.

2. each of these ladies found their strength in their relationship with god.

1. character is a vanishing trait into today's society. personal standards are crumbling.
